The Nook
Welcome to The Nook — a name I chose on purpose. A nook is small, quiet, and safe: the corner of the couch you curl into when the world feels like too much. That's what I wanted this practice to feel like. Not clinical, not cold, not another place where you have to perform "okay." I'm Jess Hoffman, LCSW, and I built The Nook Therapy Services to be a space in Hartford City, Indiana — in person or online — where you can show up exactly as you are, mess and all, and be met without judgment. You don't have to have the right words yet.
I specialize in trauma-informed, evidence-based care — drawing from EMDR, CBT, IFS, and DBT — and I have a particular passion for working with older teens, adults, and families as they navigate what life is asking of them right now. Whether you need support with coping, adjusting to life's changes, or building a sense of safety and stability, The Nook is a great place to get started.
